Since my early childhood, I have been drawn to business and real estate, inspired by the conversations I overheard between my uncles and my mom. At the time, I didn’t fully grasp the amount of effort required to achieve success, but I understood the importance of hard work. My mom, who spent over a decade with Colgate Corporate in Colombia, instilled in my sister and me the values of persistence, discipline, and self-determination. Whether she was working in the corporate world or volunteering, her principles never wavered.

As a woman in business, I am grateful every day to pursue my passions for real estate and sustainability in ways that align with my beliefs and honor God. The world needs more people who understand that profit is not just a financial term—it should also align with personal values. Success is not only measured by money; true success lies in our ability to create resources that benefit everyone. It’s about providing leadership that prioritizes integrity over self-interest.

Sustainability should be linked to true wealth. Real leadership is demonstrated by individuals who do not compromise their values in pursuit of financial gain. It is time for businesses to rethink their approaches, focusing not only on profit but also on serving the needs of everyone they directly and indirectly impact.
