“Being both soft and strong is a combination few have mastered.”
Yasmin Mogahed
There have been many times where I have been unsatisfied with the present circumstances, but I knew I would not change things by pointing fingers, blaming or sulking. I needed to find solutions even if that implied a harder journey, and it would be false propaganda to announce it as something easy. It seems being satiated comes with aiming for higher desires than the current expectations. We are allowed to feel, to get tired, yet at some point we have to choose strength over our circumstances in order to rise above water, and those resolutions start at a smaller scale rather than a big event.
Have you ever noticed how we aim for mass solutions? Instead of realizing that progress starts with the first step we take and at a smaller scale. Like cells forming tissues, to organs, and systems which form our body, there is always a starting point. It is just like cancer that invades the body, it started with one single cell gone wrong. Each of us is a cell, and our impact is broadcasted into a bigger audience, first impacting those around us. So, we must be courageous and tenacious for good. Courage and tenacity can be practiced, but we can’t leave empathy behind as much as we are individuals we have common roads, traveled by us all.
Encouragingly enough in our search for mending roads we will find others with the same goals. So perhaps a better way of tackling these “goals” is identifying them first in order to create awareness, and regardless of it all sticking to do what is right, even when it may not seemed in “our favor” because we are individuals yet part of a collective good. Everything starts with consciousness, it dives into accountability, and it ends up being different. Different is never an issue, a wild card can always be in our favor, after all everything works for the better of all.

👍 a journey begins with a single step. Where we end up on that journey depends on who we meet and the company we keep.
