“If you have one hour of air and many hours to go, you must breathe slowly.”
As I was driving last night and listening to Mumford and Sons I heard something funny… I parked to find out the life expectancy of one of my tires had evaporated like the air it had. Why now? Then again that’s life, a tire. It has to go up and down in order to move forward, just like a pendulum goes right and left to find its balance, so will our lives.
Life is never static so we can’t expect it to be motionless. We simply have to be active listeners and observers to know in what gear we should be driving. See, hear me out: the problem doesn’t lie in doing things “wrong”, there isn’t necessarily such a thing, so awareness is a necessity. Otherwise, how are we gonna know what’s going on with our tires? We are tires.
When we are down we need momentum to get back up and move forward. When we are up we can exert less force. Through work we learn, while we live we work and while we work we live. It doesn’t have to be either or neither. Sometimes like a tire we also need air/maintenance, and what about when the tire’s life expectancy is done? Then the old us has to evolve…
We wanna move forward in life? Remember life is not static? Adapting is part of growing. One of the beautiful things about the current times is the time we have to check our tires, time for introspection. Also, cars have 4 tires: we are all in this together and two is better than one, so let’s comeback stronger. More about strength later, in the meantime stay safe: observe and listen so our engine can stay tune.
Yours truly,
