“What makes you vulnerable makes you beautiful.”
Brene Brown
Vulnerability seems to be associated with liability and to the contrary it is a sign of strength, the core of being our authentic selves. As a result authenticity has become obsolete because the idea of being vulnerable has become synonym of exposure under a negative light, causing us to forget we were born with an opportunity for a blank canvas everyday, and we get to paint it as we decide. So, if Monet could create masterpieces even after loosing his eyesight, couldn’t we do the same for our lives?
Our vulnerabilities are part of the fragrance we were each assigned. So, not only do we get to paint our lives the colors we decide, we also get to share our aroma as sweet as we like it to be. Speaking of aroma, I’ll share one of the many analogies I’ve heard my mom say over the years. Life is a like a pot of boiling water, you don’t want to be a carrot and become too soft, nor an egg and become too hard, simply coffee and give a candid aroma. Btw did you know Colombian coffee is the best?
Vulnerability like love are powerful and they may be fragile but we have the capacity of embracing them both in order to make them our strength.
